LAOS
4 days: Vang Vieng – Vientiane
The tour starts from Vang Vieng, which is well known for its extremely scenic landscape. Cycle through rice fields, hidden valleys and discover the undiscovered beauty of the Nam Ngum Lake. The second day is almost flat through paddy fields and passing small villages with fine views over the Phou Khau Khouay mountain range. The tour ends in the laid back capital city of Laos, Vientiane. The tour can be extended with a city ride along the highlights of Vientiane.
Day 1:
Arrival and briefing. Depending on arrival time a ride along Vang Vieng.

Overnight in Resort on the bank of the Nam Song River
Day 2: Vang Vieng – Ban Keun 55 km
Heading in northern direction, you cycle to the ‘Sea of Laos’: the 250 square kilometer artificial Lake Nam Ngum with hundreds of islands. Here, we change the bicycle for a boat ride over the lake. We stop in one of the islands and enjoy a swim in the clear water. After lunch, we continue cycling for another 30 km on hilly minor roads to Ban Keun village, located on the bank from the Nam Ngum River.

Day 3: Ban Keun – Vientiane 65 km
Following minor flat roads, we cycle through paddy fields with great views over the mountains. We will have lunch on a floating restaurant on the Nam Ngum River. Along the suburbs, you cycle to the centre of the city, situated along the bank of the Mekong.

The tour can be extended with a city ride along the highlights of Vientiane.

Most of this day, you will cycle on undiscovered dirt roads to Ban Pako, where you stay overnight in a resort along the Nam Ngum River.

Day 4: Ban Pako – Vientiane 65 km
Continuing on dirt roads in the first part of this stage, enjoy for the last time the countryside life before entering the capital city of Laos: Vientiane. Along the suburbs, you cycle to the centre of the city, situated along the bank of the Mekong.
